Our Lady of the Angels School was founded in 1947 under the leadership of Father M. Charles Carey, the pastor of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, and the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The educational principles of Our Lady of the Angels School are based on those Sisters, who in 1804 envisioned a teaching order, flexible enough to interpret the needs of changing times and to adapt itself to them. They entrusted the teachers with the obligation to educate the students to be aware of what is happening in their lives, and be able to assume responsibility to themselves and others. Although the Sisters no longer staff the school, their loving legacy continues.

Regional Parish School 

Saint Anna Catholic School teaches Catholic virtues in a faith-centered community, preparing students to become strong, intelligent persons who love God and accept lifelong responsibilities for themselves and others. 

The parishioners of St. Anna began their own school by constructing two classrooms in the church hall of St. Anna Church in 1952. As St. Anna School became a reality, the parish called upon the Venerini Religious Teachers, an order from Italy, to staff the proposed school. The doors of St. Anna School opened for the first time in September, 1953.

Venerini Academy serves God by education to save and set free. As an educator, she was the leader of an institution that in Italy was considered to be the forerunner of public schools for girls. St. Rosa sought a solution to the problems that rendered the girls of the XVIIth Century slaves. Saving them from ignorance, instilling principles of Christian life and promoting an improved civil and professional status for them, St. Rosa Venerini led the women of her time on a path of liberation and salvation. Inspired by the teachings and values of St. Rosa Venerini, our students are taught a love for learning and given the tools they need to succeed and make a positive impact on our world.
